Good for the price, but not top quality January 8, 2009 Ulrich (San Francisco Bay Area) I read the reviews prior to buying the chips and got exactly what I expected. These are the standard 11.5g "plastic" chips. They have a decent feel. As previous reviewers mentioned, the chips are smudged, they don't fit in the case great, and the case was dented on arrival. OTOH, I have a nice set of chips at a good price. FYI: I received the following number of chips: 50 black, 50 green, 150 red, 100 blue, and 150 white (just as is displayed in the picture). The cards included are worthless - they're made out of glossy-printed cardboard, and will last at most through a shuffle or two (but it's amusing how exactly they plagiarized the packaging/look of "Bee" brand playing cards - the included cards are "Bcg" brand cards).
Cheaply made, poorly packaged January 7, 2009 Wisconsin Gardener (Madison, WI) Wanted to buy a reasonably priced set of chips for my niece for Christmas. Though reviews were mixed, some people seemed very satisfied with this set. The chips might be alright, but I never opened them. The box the case came in looked like it might have been stowed unprotected on the deck of the container ship. The plastic feet on the case were all broken when I removed it from the box. The latches didn't look like they'd hold up, posing a significant risk that the chips would eventually end up all over the sidewalk somewhere. There is a plastic insert that holds the chips, cards etc. This is made of the thinnest material imaginable, much thinner than a plastic take-out container. It was already cracked and crumbling in many places. So I returned it. The chips may be fine, but you'll likely need something else to store them in.
Very high quality product January 7, 2009 D. Hullet I bought this as a gift for my parents who enjoy playing poker. I saw this on sale for $30 with free shipping and I couldn't pass that up. I swear, Amazon had to lose money on this transaction because it's 12 pounds and shipping was $15, but they paid it, not me. Anyway, this is a really nice product. I've used it and the chips are good quality which is to be expected. It comes with two decks of cards, a dealer chip, and a big blind and a little bind chip - none of which we used, but it was only the three of us. The inner lining is felt-like and the case is very sturdy and well made.
Fragile damaged case January 2, 2009 S. Karamov (USA) The case is very fragile, very cheap, chip holders inside are paper-like and not firm, the case came damaged both inside and outside, Amazon offered only 25% refund to compensate for the damage or to return for full refund, I had to spend time returning.
Love the Set! Bought two. January 2, 2009 4 cell phone family (Crossville, TN United States) Great set at an amazing price! did a lot of research first then ended up buying 2 sets....present for a 21 year old for his weekly Texas Hold'em game with college friends. The cases (18 lbs each) were in perfect condition, good quality, well packaged. Free shipping was a "must" for me and was one of the main reasons I picked this set. Many sets I looked at....the shipping cost was almost as much as the cost of the set itself. It turned out to be a super bargain.
