The name Everlast is synonymous with boxing. Renown internationally as a manufacturer of boxing equipment, Everlast started out as a swimwear manufacturer in 1910. Headquartered in the Bronx, NY, the company was founded by 17-year-old Jacob Golomb. The son of a tailor and an avid swimmer, Jacob Golomb was dissatisfied with the durability of swimsuits because they barely lasted a season, so he began making suits that he guaranteed would last for a full year. He proudly gave them the name, Everlast. Although the swimsuits did not last through the years, the name did. Over the next years, Golomb expanded his company into a small retail store that carried a full line of sports equipment. In 1917, a young fighter named Jack Dempsey introduced boxing to Golomb and Everlast. Dempsey asked Golomb to construct protective headgear that would last more than 15 rounds of intensive boxing training. Golomb specially designed the training gear for Dempsey. In 1919, Dempsey won the world's heavyweight championship wearing boxing gloves made for him by Golomb. Everlast became the headquarters for boxing equipment throughout the world. In 1925, Golomb designed elastic-waist trunks to replace the leather-belted trunks then worn by boxers. These trunks, now known as boxer trunks, immediately became famous. Jacob Golomb ran the business until he passed away in the early 1950's and his son, Dan, took over. In 1958, Ben Nadorf joined Everlast and purchased 50% of the company from the Golomb family. When Dan Golomb passed away in 1995, Nadorf purchased the family's remaining 50% interest. Nadorf remained the President and Principle Share Holder of Everlast until October 24, 2000. Everlast men's and women's apparel and accessories continue today to be tremendously successful both inside and outside the ring. In addition, Everlast boxing trunks and equipment remain the proud and undefeated champion of the boxing industry for more than 90 years. The history continues, as the name states. I have been boxing for about a year now, tried these wraps and they both tore apart after one sparring. I thought these would last much longer than one day, but after this I am down to two handwraps from the get go. So I am not sure how everybody else is holding up with their own but, all I know is I am staying away.
 Good Quality Hand Wraps - Recommended June 23, 2010

This set contains three sets of 108" Everlast Hand Wraps in Red, Black, and White colors. I was concerned about the shorter length of these since I have large to X-large hands and need to have good wrapping to support my wrists. These were just the right the size, covering my wrists and knuckles with several layers. While others have noted that the 180" length wraps provide better protection, I find that is too much material to have under my light gloves for heavy bag work and light contact sparing.
The material is good quality and doesn't tend to bunch up on itself while wrapping. The built in "Thumb Loops" are very handy and does allow these wraps to be put on by yourself, which is a big plus, and the Velcro fastener is fairly long, providing a secure hold throughout a long workout.
Recommended, with the above length caveat.

Great product. Small enough to fit into mma gloves and less material in your palm than the 180 inch wraps. This is naturally better for grappling. Obviously not meant for heavy bag use unless you also use your mma gloves too.

These wraps are very durable. The velcro on them started falling off after using them for a while but other than that they feel and look great. I even wore them to school! They were a little short but not that big of a problem if you are just messing around with your friends. Like i said, great product. Thanks for your time.

These handwraps are very short. 108" is not the ideal length and I was very unhappy to find this out. I would suggest a much longer handwrap. Especially if you're a beginner, like myself, you need much longer handwraps for the support because longer handwraps allow you to have cross-finger support as well as the much needed wrist support. DON'T BUY. GET LONGER HANDWRAPS!!
